Notes from the Founder in 2020.

We have the hope that with the right intellectual foundation which we’ll provide, young people are
capable of doing the unimaginable which furthers the Agenda 2063 aspiration of fast tracking an
economic revolution that is led by the people of Africa.

We are fully convinced that Africa’s most valuable resources are not the Katanga gold mines or the Wits diamonds but the people of Africa especially the young people. DIA (formerly called Debate Rangers Africa) remains committed to nurturing all persons God charged under her care to become instrumental citizens in their respective nations.
Why is our focus on speech, debate and other spoken arts?
We are driven by the conviction that these spoken arts are just a means of triggering the minds of young
people to imagine and dream.

With imagination and dreams, these young people can be correctly
mentored to give to Africa what God packed inside them. That ultimately makes them fundamental
pillars of this continent .

We believe that for anything phenomenal to ever come to fruition, it starts with a mental revolution
which then triggers them to start pursuing that fruit of the mental womb.

After the young mind has started achieving this dream, they ultimately use their oratory skills to inspire many young people in that direction and this marks regeneration of a trickle down effect where young African people can believe that they can dream and achieve their dreams.

Debate Institute Africa is a youth led registered non profit in Uganda which intends to use the vehicles of debate, public speech, writing, poetry and mentorship to nurture the intellectual foundations of young people in the values of Pan Africanism, Speech, Dialogue, Purpose and Vision leadership .

All our programs will intend to achieve those objectives in Africa. That is what nurturing the pillars of the African dream means. Our future is well captured by the colors of hope ,faith and code of African destiny in the logo.
