We are thrilled to unveil the Top 60 speakers who have advanced to the next stage of the 2025 Debate Cranes Trials, a milestone event celebrating the best of debating talent across the country. This stage brings together a diverse and talented group of individuals, each poised to demonstrate exceptional skill, passion, and intellect in their pursuit of excellence ahead of the 2025 Panama World Schools Debating Championship in July.
The first stage of the Debate Cranes Trials was nothing short of monumental, embodying the spirit of intense intellectual engagement and collaboration. Across 20 breakout rooms, 117 speakers delivered a staggering 819 speeches, amounting to an incredible 6,712 minutes of speaking time. To put this into perspective, it was as if a miniature UN General Assembly had come to life in just two days—an awe-inspiring testament to the dedication, passion, and eloquence of Uganda’s brightest young debaters.
