Ladies and gentlemen,

My name is Saviour Arinda, I am the Program Manager of Paragon Rhetorica under the auspice of Debate Institute Africa.
I will not speak much to the technical aspect of this course, since my good friend Harold here will help with that. I will instead address the spirit of the program.

Paragon Rhetorica was born out of the dream to see the public speech space thrive , a dream that’s carefully interwoven into the blueprint of every successful community of people that seek to change narratives and conditions that oftentimes repress their ability to thrive. This platform was not established to merely host tournaments and judge speeches, but to inspire young minds to build bridges and fill gaps with the power of the tongue they wield.

It is therefore with great pride and honor that I get to commission you distinguished group of individuals as judges, who have successfully completed our level one certificate course. This milestone is not just a testament to your dedication to the craft, but also to your resolve to dare to dream with us.
Our society thrives on the belief of the fair administration of justice.

As adjudicators, you are the guardians of this principle in those spaces you will be judging with integrity, impartiality, and compassion, well knowing that these are not just random people trying to deliver speeches, but most significantly are people that will change status quo, and are seeking inspiration from your abilities to keep going.
At the end of the day, our acknowledgement today on this 2nd day of July is therefore in your abilities to deliver as you have been trained in this course, for the world expects no less.

The completion of this certificate course has equipped you with the knowledge and skills necessary to undertake this vital role, and now, it is your responsibility to apply what you have learned in the service of our people.

Thank you Harold, Gracious, Joseph, and all the various trainers for a well executed job. From us at Paragon Rhetorica, congratulations once again adjudicators, and may you carry out your duties with honor, and with wisdom, and with equity.

Congratulations once again, I thank you.
